What is the North Valley Gaming Group?
The North Valley Gaming Group is a club that meets each weekend to play specialty board and card games. We meet at the home of Chris and Michelle in Anthem, and occasionally at a public location such as Paradise Bakery.

Are there any membership dues?
There are no membership dues, and financial contributions are not necessary.

Event Details
What days and times do you meet?
Our meetups alternate between Tuesday and Friday evenings one week, and an all day Saturday event the next. I also schedule a Magic: the Gathering event every other Sunday.

How do I sign up for an event?
You must RSVP for any event you wish to participate in, as attendance is limited. You may RSVP for an event up to three weeks before the event starts. There is a waiting list if an event is full.

Am I allowed to bring my child with to play games?
I prefer to keep things adults only.

Food and Drinks
Are there snacks and drinks?
Plenty of snacks and drinks are provided each game session. Snacks include things such as Bugles, Chex Mix, trail mix, cookies, candy, etc. Drinks include soda (regular, diet and caffeine free), coffee, water and sometimes juice or tea.

During all day Saturday events we break for dinner sometime between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Dinner usually consists of pizza.

Games Played
What types of games does the group play?
We play games such as Dominion, Princes of Florence, Railroad Tycoon, Empires: the Age of Discovery, Agricola, Small World, Ticket to Ride, etc. We also play multiplayer Magic: the Gathering, focusing mainly on the new Commander format or a Cube Draft. I also schedule occasional games of Twilight Imperium or Civilization.

I have never played games like these. Do you accept new players?
Yes! We always welcome new players, and every game is taught.

Should I bring my own game(s)?
You can if you want, but it is not required. We have many games to choose from already, but if there is something you're interested in playing, bring it along.

How do you decide what games to play?
We determine what games to play as a group. Sometimes Chris might set up a game ahead of time. Some events are dedicated to a specific game such as Magic: the Gathering or Twilight Imperium.
